"There's something I need to tell you." Amy started as she walked up to Sally, one of her classmates. "What do you need to tell me?" Sally asked as she put her books into her backpack. "I'm adopted." Amy replied, she felt as if a heavy weight had been lifted from her shoulders. "So what?" Sally asked, "So, I've been lying about having a real family all this time." Amy replied, "You haven't been lying, you really do have a family, they may not be your birth family, but they're still your family." Sally pointed out. "You're the second person, I've told my secret to, do you think you could help me tell everyone else about my secret?" Amy asked, "I'm sorry but I can't help you." Sally said as she got up and walked away, leaving Amy to wonder why she couldn't help her. "You don't need help from me, you are capable of telling everyone your secret on your own, just like you told me." Sally said as she stopped and turned around.

Amy shotback. "They've put you agaisnt me, I knew this would happen." Mrs. * replied, "No, mom, they did not put me against you,you put me agaisnt you, when you put me up for adoptition." Amy replied coldly. "For the last time, I didn't put you up for adoption, you've got to beleive me." Mrs * replied, "There's no need to lie, I saw the adoption papers, I saw you're signature on the papers." Amy said. "Those are all fake papers, that your adoptive parents had drawn up, just so they can convince you, that I gave up on you." Mrs. * replied, Amy shook her head, and hung up the phone.

Part 2

Chapter (one)

"You still don't understand what I'm going through, you don't understand what it means to grow up without a mother, to grow up, thinking that the lady you called mom, was really your mother, only to find out that she isn't, and that your real mother gave you up for adoption, than when you finally got used to your adopted mom, your real mother comes back into your life." Amy told Stephanie, one of her adopted cousins on her adopted father's side. "I still don't understand? to tell you the truth I never understood what you are going through, and I cannot understand what you're going through because I am not going through what you are going through, and besides I thought your birth mother went back to Florida, and that she wasn't going to bother you anymore." Stephanie replied, "That's what she said, but she changed her mind, and now she wants back in my life." Amy replied, "I wonder what changed her mind." Stephanie replied, "Who knows." Amy replied.

The ending.

"Good you're back, I was so worried that you'd never come back, that she would convince you to move in with her and that we'd never see you again." Mrs Kindell said as soon as Amy walked in the door a few hours later. "Mom, I'm never leaving the only house that I've ever known." Amy assured her adoptive mother. "So why did you go over there?" Mrs. Kindell asked, "I wanted to talk with my birth mother, I had some questions for her." Amy explained, "Did she have the anwsers that you were looking for?" Mrs. Kindell asked, "Not exactly, she denyed that she ever gave me up for adoption, she said it was all a huge missunderstanding." Amy replied, "Beleive me, it was not a big missunderstanding, she clearly told your father and I that she couldn't take care of you and that she wanted to give you up for adoption." Mrs. Kindell replied, "And now that things are going much better for her, she wants me back." Amy replied, "Exactly." Mrs. Kindell replied, "Either way this is my home now." Amy replied.

Amy told her birth mother, "I gave you the gift of life." Her birth mother retored her voice full of anger. "That's all you gave me." Amy replied, with that she got up and headed out of her mother's home, for the first and last time.

"She's not missing, she left to go see her birth mother." Mr. Kindell replied. "How could you let her go without telling me?" Mrs. Kindell asked sounding very irritated. "Because you were sleeping and I didn't want to bother you, beside's she has every right to visit her mother and we can't stand in her way." Mr. Kindell replied, "Have you ever considered that her mom might poisin her agaisnt us?" Mrs. Kindell asked frantically, "She would never do that." Mr. Kindell replied, "A mother who want's her child back will do just about anything." Mrs. Kindell corrected him. "If you're so worried about that, why don't you go and get her than." "I want to see my daughter." Amy's biogical mother said when Mrs. Kindell opened the front door a few weeks later. "She's out with her father, would you like to come in and wait for her?" Mrs. Kindell asked, "Of course I'll wait for her, she is my daughter after all, when should they be bcak?" Amy's bioligical mom asked, "They should be back shortly." Mrs. Kindell replied as Amy's biological mom walked in and took a seat on the pink sofa.
"Would you like anything to drink while you wait?" Mrs. Kindell asked, "No." Amy's birth mother replied,

Monday, May 10, 2010

"It's you're fault Amy doesn't want to live with me, if you hadn't made me put her up for adoption, things would be much different." Amy's biological mom told her husband Edwin later the next day. "I didn't make you put Alice up for adoption, you made that choice all my yourself." Edwin replied, "I wouldn't have made that choice, if I hadn't been forced too, you'd left and I didn't know when you'd be back, I had to work, and had no one to leave her with, so I felt that I had no choice but to put her up for adoption." Amy's bio mom replied, "Again, you made that choice, and now she doesn't want to leave her adoptive parents and there's nothing you can do about it." Edwin replied,

"I personally agree with mom, I think you're making a huge mistake by keeping her, she belongs with her mother, her birth mother that is." Angie told her sister, late Friday afternoon. "I don't care what either of you think, Amy doesn't want to go back to the woman that abanonded her and I'm not about to force her to." Mrs, Kindle replied,

"In my opinion, you two should have sent her to live with her birth mother." Tess told, Mrs. Kindell, (Alie) Tuesday afternoon, as the two of them drank coffee in Mrs. Kindell's kitchen. "So if Angie's birth mother came back into the picture, you'd give her back?" Mrs.Kindell asked as she took a sip of her coffee. "I would, because any child belongs with her mother." Tess replied, "If that's the way you think then why did you adopt her in the first place?" Mrs. Kindell asked, "Because when I adopted her, her mother didn't want her, but if she were to change her mind I'd give her back." Tess explained.

"Yeah, that's right she was in town, but only to sue us for custody of Amy." Mrs. Kindely asked, "Did she win the case?" Mrs. Finenly asked, "No." Mrs.Kindely replied, "So I suppose that Amy know's that she was adopted?" Mrs. finely asked, "She knew before her birth mother came trying to take custody of her." Mrs. Kindely replied, "But I would think that with her being the birth mother, the Judge would grant her custody of her daughter." Mrs. Kindely replied, "This Judge didn't, he said that Amy had a stronger bond with us than she did with her mother." Mrs. Kindely replied, "But they could've started a bond." Mrs.Kinenly pointed out, "Amy didn't want that." Mrs. Kindely replied, "That's not something that you leave up to her, you should encourage her to start a bond with her birth mother." Mrs. Finely replied, "I can't force her to have a bond with her birth mother if she doesn't want to." Mrs. Kinedly pointed out.

Monday, March 22, 2010

"Do you ever regret not going back to your birth mother?" Alice asked Amy the next day at school. "No, and I'm glad the judge didn't make me go back to my birth mother." Monday, March 15, 2010

"I'm glad that you're not leaving." Alice said as she and Amy ate ice cream in front of the television. "Me too," Amy replied, she was glad that the judge had refused to give her back to her biological mother, because her adoptive parents had become to feel like her real parents.

Amy told her bioligical mother, "You made her say that, did't you?" Amy's birth mother asked, turning to Mrs. Kindell, "I did no such thing." She shook her head. "I don't beleive you." Amy's birth mother replied, "Whether you beleive me or not, Amy just told you that she didn't want to live with you, so I suggest that you leave my property right now." Mrs. Kindell replied sternly, without a word, Amy's birth mother left the house, closing the front door with a loud bang.

Saturday, January 30, 2010

"I think Amy should move back with me." Janice said, she was Amy's biological mom, when her visit came to an end and she started for the front door. "As her biological mother, I cannot keep you away from you're daughter, but think about the effect it will have on Amy, Amy has gotten used to the level of living here, she has friends, to uproot her now, and move her to a place with a lower standard of living would do her more harm than good."

Monday, January 25, 2010

Timidly Amy walked into the living room, where her birth mother was waiting for her.
"Well aren't you going to come over and give me a hug?" Her mother asked, when Amy just stood frozen in her place.
Amy looked from her mom, to her adoptive mom, and then looked down at her feet. "Amy, go ahead and give your mother a hug, it would mean a lot to her." Mrs. Kindell urged her.
Relectunly Amy walked over to where her mom was sitting and gave her a hug.

"Ashelly, there's something you need to know about me." Amy started when her best friend came to the front door, a while later. "What is it?" Ashelly asked, "I'm adopted, my parents aren't my real parents." Amy replied, "So?" Ashelly asked, "You're not shocked, you're not going to stop being my friend?" Amy asked, she'd been afraid that if her friend knew that she was adopted she'd stopped being her friend. "No, I'm not going to stop being your friend just because you were adopted." Ashelly replied. "That's good, because I was worried that you'd stop being my friend." Amy replied.

"she wanted you to have a better life."

"Why did my real mom, give me up?" Amy asked after she'd gotten over the intial shock of finding out that she'd been adopted. "Because she loved you, she wanted you to grow up in a good home, with a good family." Mr. Kindley replied. "What was wrong with my family what was wrong with her?"
Amy asked, "You see, when you're father walked away, you're mother, didn't think that she could support you and give you the life that she thought that you deserved, so she asked us to be your parents." Mrs. Kindley explained. "Oh." Amy said, "So you see, you're mom doesn't hate you, she just wanted you to have a better life." Mrs. Kindely pointed out. "What about my aunts or uncles?" Amy asked, "You don't have any aunts or uncles."
Mr. Kindely replied.

"Look if you want to tell Amy, that she was adopted on her birthday, I don't want to be a part of it." Mrs. Kindely said, "But we both promised her biological mother, that we would tell her that she was adopted on her twelveth birthday." Mr.Kindely reminded her. Just then Amy walked into the room, she'd heard the whole conversation from the hallway.
"You don't have to tell me anything, I know I'm adopted." Amy said as she walked into the kitchen. She felt strange after finding out that she'd been
adopted, and the two people she'd thought were her parents, turned out to be her adoptive parents. "Amy, we may have adopted you, but we love you as if you are our own daughter." Mrs.Kindely said, as she got up and put an arm around Amy. Who was now crying.

"It's a good time as any, besides, we promised her birth mother, that we'd tell her about the adoption, as soon as she turned twelve." Mr. Kindely replied, "But we could wait till after her birthday." Mrs. Kindely pointed out, "No it's better to get it out of the way."
